The initial consultation is designed to get an idea of the difficulties you are currently grappling with. In the session, you will be asked a bit about your background and medical history.
It can sometimes be a bit daunting meeting a therapist for the first time but I want to assure you that I will endeavor to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
Confidentiality is of paramount importance and as such you will find the space very secure and friendly. Finally, the initial consultation is there to give us both a chance to see if we can work together and for you as the client to feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. This is without further obligation.
Face to Face
Therapy is an opportunity to focus on your mental wellbeing. You may feel unsure of where to start. Having more time, allows you to explore not only your present difficulties but also perhaps when and where they began.
Therapy often helps you gain insight into your internal mental and emotional processes. We lead busy lives and very rarely do we take time to consider why we feel the way we do. Gaining insight will help you regain some control and choice over how you feel.
I offer secure online consultations for those individuals who have difficulty getting to the appointments. The same fees and session blocks apply.
Online counselling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many client needs, with the added benefits of convenience.
